Travel Suggestions for San Francisco?

Do NOT rent a car. Take bus/cable cars everywhere and walk. You will tire of the Wharf in 3 days but the city is so incredible that fun is not hard to find. My wife and I have spend over 170 days visiting there over the 14 years we have been together. I highly recommend renting a bycycle at the Wharf and riding it up and over the famous bridge into Sausalito. There are some reviews of parking issues in the city here http://www.vanabode.com/travel/san-francisco-california-parking.htm but once again unless you are staying there long term and vanaboding I would NOT bring a car. Also I recommend eating BIG nice high quality lunches and then eating a cheap meal streetside since lunchs can be half the price of dinner and just about as big.
