Wait a minute! What is LEGISLATIVE experience, chopped liver?

So the experience debate goes on. But what I don't get is why the thick-headed media doesn't recognize that what makes McCain, Obama and Biden "experienced" is NOT executive experience, which Carly Fiorino today admitted was irrelevant to the presidency. What we ASK candidates--house, senate, governor, president alike--to do is tell us their PROPOSALS. Isn't that right? We don't ask them if know how to develop a budget, accept bids or hire an istant--do we? We ask for their ideas about governing, right? That, IMO, is the Palin problem: she has limited experience in the ideas and proposals game. No, not "none." And, no. Obama doesn't have as MUCH as McCain or Biden...but unlike Palin, I'll bet he at least knows how a bill becomes law, which is pretty important if you want to get bills through Congress, right? That's my question, folks: Why the heck don't we get to the heart of the matter--what TYPE of experience is relevant to being an effective president?
