Should I say something to him, or just leave it be?

Ok, so I was talking to this guy, everything was going ok, until he just up and left me. There was a whole story about him still having feelings for some girl and stuff, so he very rudely told me off. But when we were talking, he let me use his locker to keep my books in cause it was more convenient. Anyways, long story short, I broke my hand, so I was having trouble carrying my heavy books. I put them back into his locker, and he showed up when I was getting them. I walked over and he just looked at me like he thought maybe I was going to talk to him. Or that maybe he wanted me too. So I just said "I broke my hand, so I couldn't carry these books all at once." And he just said it's ok. But he said it in like a calm voice then waited a few seconds and walked away. I waited until he was gone and just started crying. I can tell he wanted me to talk, but I don't know if I should. I can't be his "friend" after how bad he hurt me, and I don't want to still be his locker buddy, I was just really hurt today. I don't know what to do, and I feel kinda awkward. Should I just keep ignoring him and avoiding him, or should I actually be nice when I see him? help?
