Fiji Holiday Questions :)?

I have never been to Denarau Island, but have been to Fiji in the last year. I live on another Pacific Island in the vicinity. I consider prices to be fairly low in Fiji. We have eaten nice meals in good quality hotels there for USD$6-8 per person. Personally, I wouldn't ask for a meal package, but go out and find places to eat once you get there. December is rainy season, but it is also hot season, which usually means the rain dries up within a few minutes. Often, it will rain sometime during the night.
