Do I need an SR 22 for three years in the state of Florida?

I have an SR 22 in Florida and am wondering if this becomes invalid after three years from the day of my suspension or if I have to purchase the SR 22 insurance for three years. I would rather not drive for three years since I live so close to school than to pay the non driver's SR 22 insurance. I would like to just reinstate my license after three years and skip the entire process of having the SR 22.
